Reflections

Perfect Reflection

Reflections do not always reveal themselves so clearly, but sometimes, if you’re paying attention, they do.

This image captures the reflection of a stained-glass window in the chapel of First Baptist Church in Brownfield, Texas. What makes it meaningful to me isn’t just the light or the color, but the moment surrounding it. After a community meal last week, a few of us wandered, quietly exploring the sanctuary and then the chapel, opening doors we might have otherwise passed by.

It was in that simple act of curiosity—turning around, looking again—that we saw it. A perfect reflection. Unexpected. Beautiful. Shared.

Two of the ladies with me had never noticed it before.

And that’s what stays with me.

Even in the most familiar places, there are still moments waiting to be discovered, even if we are willing to pause, to look again, and to explore just a little deeper.

Happy Sunday!
