Revelations of a Humble Priest Through Translations of His German Letters

Learning more about Father Conrad Herda only intrigues my research more on this priest who served in Texas, specifically at the towns of Nazareth and Lindsay.  He was a priest assigned from Subiaco Abbey in Arkansas.   I’m thankful to Doris Miller for translating his German letters, so I can ascertain more about him and share this research in a scholarly journal.

In a recent letter translation, Father Conrad at one point in his life commented that he  “…. fasts like donkey.”  I have no idea what that means, but the statement proves he had a sense of humor.

Yes – more is to come on this German priest….
