Prairie verbena, Glandularia bipinnatifida, has shown me through the years its resilient fortitude to withstand droughts, thrives when the rains come, and most important in many areas where it is present is always blooming year-round. Often this is the first wildflower to emerge right before spring.
This low-growing native wildflower is simply the best.
