Happy Wildlife Wednesday!
Thankful for the recent rains here on the Llano Estacado in Texas because they bring much-needed blooms for all the pollinators, as well as a carpet of visual color to the landscape. Flowers have been deeply missed these last two years in this region due to a lack of rainfall.
Prickly pear bloom captured at Tahoka Lake Pasture in May 2023.

Gorgeous. On my way home from the store this AM, I passed an open field covered in dandelions. So excited to see them for the bees and butterflies.

Dandelions are an under appreciated flower for its subtle beauty and feed source.

I’ve decided to let them grow in my yard. Earlier this spring I had a lot of them in the back.

I did as well! Not going to deny them anymore.
