Be In The Moment

Indian Blanket on the Llano Estacado

“Many eyes go through the meadow, but few see the flowers in it.”

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Are we sure Emerson didn’t write this for this Century? In one CRP field alone I counted up to thirty species of flowers and grasses. I was able to do this because I stopped and noticed what was around me.

Can you imagine what the prairies looked like in the late 1800s?

Oh, to be able to go back in time and count the plant diversity in this location would be eye opening.

Why do I mention what I saw in this field? Because it’s important to your life.

Pay attention to your world. Notice the little things. Be in the moment. Count your blessings as wins in life because they are. Yes, yes, I know it’s hard. It’s been hard for me.

Smile.

Smile.

And smile again.

Laugh at loud for any stupid reason.

Stand barefoot in the grass.

Notice your world. Be thankful for the little things.

Now go and have a splendid, blessed Tuesday. 🩶
