Love at First Sight – Dogs I Meet

Sitting on a picnic table at the Swiss Park in Enumclaw, Washington the eyes captured my attention from over 100 yards away. They are dead giveaways that you’ve never seen this kind of dog before.

Meet the Applenzeller Sennenhuund. This one is Koda. His smile is infectious. Appenzeller’s eyes are truly in a class by themselves. Gorgeous shades of olive green stand out against the backdrop of their tri-coloration.

Smiles soon follow with them. Their smiles are just like their Entlebucher cousins with an often head tilt. Yes, their size is larger than an Entle but It is their eyes that give them away. Of course, they have these fab, fluffy tails.

Yes, my heart fell in love with the Applenzellers I met in Washington. Hope to meet more along the journey of my life.
