These are rare turkey vulture selfies from my research at Comanche Springs Astronomy Campus. I never would’ve guessed that a turkey vulture would be inquisitive enough to walk around and check out a camera trap.
Turkey vultures are often seen flying over this highest point of the campus. This camera trap has captured a few bobcat and coyote selfies, along with the ever inquisitive greater roadrunners. Camera traps have captured turkey vultures at the Beaver Pond walking around, but not like this guy who literally came up and looked directly into the camera.
Enjoy!
